For each contract the joint venture records the assigned NAICS code, the applicable limitation on subcontracting, and the planned share of work by performer before a binding offer.
Materials
Steel, aluminum, and composite (GRP) hulls. Material selection is made per requirement, driven by weight, lift and transport limits, and service life.

Domestic construction
Hulls and superstructures for Navy and Coast Guard vessels are subject to domestic construction requirements, including 10 U.S.C. 8679. The joint venture builds in the United States. The production site is described on the Facilities page.
